What a ride our first festival has been!
Our thanks go out to:
- the hosts: Thanks subitomf for being this first years hosts and doing all the work in the background, from recording to catering, front of house and cleaning the dishes.
- the guests: First and foremostly our headliner from Norway who flew all the way to sing with and for us and teach us about Norwegian folk singing, I am sure it was quite the revelation for everyone! Thanks for lowkey from travelling from London and back all in a day and enriching the tapestry of acappella by your renditions, all complete with beat boxing and audience participation. Thanks to the Liverpool Singers and subitoMf for your singing, bringing your friends, spreading the word and all the support you provided to make this thing happen.
- the audience: As this was the first incarnation we are so happy to have had a brilliant audience and the amount of donations and the length of the applause really reflects that we have, indeed, hit a spot. Until next time: Tell your friends!
After the festival is before the festival of course.
So we are setting out to:
- secure new funding
- find new local and international ensembles: Write us if you are interested and we can have a chat. Remember: One of the beauties of this format is that professionals and amateurs come together, join forces and ideas are bounced of each other
- convert the CIC to a CIO
We already have a number of interested groups and very possibly a very interesting guest speaker secured.
